I found this cute chalkboard sign at Hobby Lobby on clearance a few months back, and just knew I had to have it! It had been marked down to $12, but the dowel rod on the front had come out, so it appeared to be broken. I asked a store clerk if they could knock some money off of it, and they lowered it to $7…score!!! A little hot glue was all it took to put it back together, and it was ready to go! I will list all the supplies used below. If you want to make your own truck sign, I’m sharing the free file here.
For this project, I used my Silhouette Cameo and Oracal 651 vinyl. The colors I used were mint, white, and bubble gum. I also used some matte carnation vinyl I had lying around for a few of the hearts as well. For the ribbon, I used some 6 inch burlap, and then just layered a few scraps of ribbon I had in coordinating colors. I secured them all together with jute twine, and attached the bow with a little hot glue. I just love the finished product! And the best part is that I can remove everything when I want to change it up for the next season or event! Want to see the live video tutorial? Click here.
